Colonic Irrigation may help prevent bowel cancer, the most common cancer in Ireland
Bowel cancer, also known as colorectal cancer, is the most common non-skin cancer diagnosed in Ireland, accounting for almost 10 percent of all new cancers diagnosed. Bowel cancer is the second highest killer of cancers in the USA. The majority of cases occur in people over 50 years of age. The latest figures released by the National Cancer Registry in Ireland show that approximately 2,000 people in Ireland develop bowel cancer each year and half die from it. Worldwide, it is the fourth most common cancer, and is more prevalent in western countries.
Colorectal cancer begins in the lining of the large bowel, or colon. The majority of colorectal cancers are found in the sigmoid colon (the part of the bowel above the rectum) or in the junction of the rectum and sigmoid.
Colonic Irrigation washes out waste and toxins from the bowel
Everybody has a certain amount of waste and toxins in their body. They come from pesticides on food, cosmetics, undigested material, pollutions and fumes. The method used at Dublin Vitality Colonic Irrigation and hydrotherapy center allows the waste and toxins to be washed away in a non intrusive method. A tiny tube is inserted into the rectum. This tube we use is no larger than a fine straw. The insertion can be done by the client if they prefer.
Once it is in place the therapist will regulate the water entering the bowel. Once the bowel becomes full, it will naturally release waste which flows directly into an area of the" Libbe "equipment and is washed away instantly. There is no odour and the client is covered by a towel at all times. We are one of the very first in Ireland to offer this non intrusive method of colonic irrigation.
