Will I need to undress on front of the therapist? No, your privacy is maintained at all times . The equipment we use ensures the client complete privacy .This equipment comes from the USA and is popular in clinics in Harley Street London and across the UK and USA. We are one of the first in Ireland to use this system although it is a highly recognised system in both UK and USA.
Is the treatment painful?
No, it is not painful. Some clients may experience a little discomfort but this soon passes.
How does the treatment work?
Warm purified water is gently used to fill the colon. When you feel the need to release, the waste is washed away directly into the hydrotherapy equipment . It is not visible unless you choose to watch it come through a small tube which is designed for the therapist to assess what has been released. It is not uncommon to see undigested food, bile, parasites and gas. The therapist will tell you what was passed and what the implications mean to your health.
How many treatments will I require?
In most cases a course of 6 treatments are required to fully clean the colon. You should then have one further colonic a month to maintain optimal health. Clients have reported feeling benifit even after one colonic.
What can I expect to feel directly after the treatment?
Many clients have reported higher energy levels, clearer skin and brighter eyes, relief from gas, improved elimination through the kidney, skin and bowel. Some clients report a feeling of elevation and elation directly after the treatment. Some clients report that they feel 'lighter and brighter' immediately after treatment. Occasionally a client may feel abdominal cramps which will soon pass.
How do I know if I need colonics or if I have toxins in my bowel and body?
Common signs include tiredness, weight gain, constipation, diarrhoea, sluggishness, headaches, gas, bloating,coated tongue,skin problems, dull eyes, grey or dull skin, cellulite, low energy or back ache.bad breath and odour from skin.poor memory deprression,weakened immune system.

What is constipation and how will colonics help?
Constipation is any form of congestion and is usually accompanied by dehydration. One bowel movement a day is a sign of constipation. Symptoms are overweight, irritability, bloating, gas, headaches, sinus drainage, allergies, cellulite, unsatisfied hunger and poor circulation.
How does a colonic compare to an enema?
According to Dr. Normal Walker, "One colonic is equivalent to 30 enemas".
May I have a colonic during menstrual period?
Yes, in fact it usually a good time to receive a treatment since your body is already cleansing. Many clients report relief from pain, menstrual cramping and bloating
Is there any possibility of contamination during the procedure?
No, following each hydrotherapy session all equipment used is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. The solutions we use for colonic hydrotherapy are FDA approved. A single-use disposable, serialized packet containing a rectal tube or speculum is disposed of following each session ensuring against any possible contamination to the client.
What qualifications has my therapist?
The therapist is an RGN (Registered General Nurse), RPN (Registered Psychiatric Nurse), EFT (Emotional Freedom Therapist) and also holds a Higher Diploma in analytical Hypnotherapy along with over 4 years experience as a Hypnotherapist. The therapist is a qualified Hydro therapist in both the conventional (closed method) and I-Act trained on the open method.
Is there a danger of damage to the colon?
No, the tube we use is only 2" long and the rectum is 7" long making it impossible to damage the colon.
Will the intestinal beneficial flora be disturbed by colonic hydrotherapy?
The flora will not be disturbed any more than having several normal bowel motions. The healthy bacteria are more than likely run by destructive bacteria. It is a well known fact that good bacteria has difficulty surviving when the colon is impacted with old, putrefied, toxic matter. Colon hydrotherapy is to create a healthier and balanced bowel environment where good bacteria can flourish.

Are colonics dangerous in any way?
No, this method of colonic hydrotherapy allows for continual control over the water pressure and temperature. Our equipment is fitted with a safety valve which turns water off if necessary. Our equipment is disinfected and cleaned after each client and we use only disposable sterile tubes.
Can I have a colonic when pregnant?
No, not during the first trimester. If very constipated during the second trimester clients can have one under your doctors supervision. Not during the third trimester.
Will colonics clear my skin?
If the toxins are not been eliminated through the bowel due to a build up of faecal matter, the body will then try to use the skin as it is another organ of elimination.
